Shanghai 2007 - Modern? Colonial?

posted on 08 Jun 2008 14:27 by nobokun

Last year, I visited Shanghai for the first time in my life.

There are so many high-rise buildings and they are building more and more.

Very energetic city.

But it is quite different from my image of "China";

rather it is a modern city with some flavor of colonial period of Asian city.

Hello, everyone!

I forgot to introduce myself in my first blog entry.

I am a Japanese male... ojisan ... who has been working in the IT industry

for many years.  I am also a graduate student at a university in Tokyo and

I have been studying about the consumption of Japanese pop culture in

Thailand for the past several years.

Every year, I visit Bangkok for 2 or 3 times to observe the Thai people

who enjoy Japanese music, comics, fashion, cosplay, etc.

I have been observing the activities and the behaviours of the Thai people

but lately, I want to talk with you, Thai people, to understand deeply.

And I just enjoy whatever you are enjoying!

そういうわけで、このブログを始めました。

日本語の勉強をしていて、わからないことがあったら、いつでも質問してください。

仲良くなりましょう!

はじめまして! Hajimemashite!
